Instructions

  1. Create a mailbox on FCI WebNet by using the mailbox request form. After your mailbox
    has been created, proceed with the next steps:
  2. Click on the floppy to start the download. Store the install program on your disk.
  3. Run the install program. The password is available from your Fountainhead Communications
    Sales executive at 1-973-921-1490
  4. Contact Fountainhead Support at 631.874.3780 if you have problems.

Troubleshooting

The most common problems are caused by firewall configuration issues. If the Connect software is unable
to reach FCI WebNet, it is most likely a firewall issue. 

Testing your firewall:

  1. On any PC in your office, open a "Command Prompt" window. (May be located in the Accessories folder)
  2. Enter   ftp edi.fciwebnet.com   Use "test" as the user name and "test" as the password.
  3. If you are NOT asked for the password (or if you receive no response to the ftp command) then you have a
    problem: You do not have Internet connectivity for the ftp protocol. If this is the case, your firewall is
    blocking the ftp protocol fully or partially.

    Contact the person responsible for your firewall settings. Tell them that you are trying to reach an ftp site
    using "passive ftp" but the firewall is blocking the protocol.
  4. If you are asked for the password, enter "test." The login will fail, but you do have Internet connectivity for ftp
